EASY CHALLAH

* PREP TIME: 25 MINUTES 

* RISE TIME: 90 MINUTES

* COOK TIME: 35 MINUTES

• 4 cups warm water 

• 8 tsp dry active yeast

• 2 eggs (beaten)

• 1 cup oil

• 1 cup sugar

• 2 tbls salt

• 5lb bag flour

DIRECTIONS

1. take 4 cups water, add in 8 tsp yeast and 1 cup sugar

2. mix and let mixture rise for about 15 minutes
3. mix the mixture into 1/2 bag of flour, add in eggs, oil and salt - then add in rest of flour (leave some cups aside)
4. mix dough -- then cover mixture with warm, wet towel and let rise in warm place for 1.5 hours
after dough rises, pound it
5. shape challah and brush with egg - place in oven for 35 minutes at 350 degrees
